The Seventh Sunday of Epiphany

February 23, 2025
10:15 am

fellowship following

WELCOME GUESTS
Our service is "three streamed" - meaning you'll see elements of traditional church (sacraments, vestments, liturgy), charismatic practice (the raising of hands in worship, and expectancy on the Spirit to bless and speak), and evangelical (emphasis on the good news as presented primarily in the scripture stories of Jesus) - see here for more about the church.
Children are dismissed for Godly play after the opening music and returned at the Peace to share communion with their families.
If you'd like to make an appointment with one of the clergy, indicate that on the welcome card and slip it into the offertory plates at the rear of the church.
Fellowship following.
Come as you are.

RECEIVING COMMUNION
All baptized persons are invited to the Lord's Table to receive Communion.
Wafers are best received in the palm, with one hand crossed over the other. Wine and juice are available for sipping or intinction (dipping) for wine, and dipping only for juice. Communion of one kind (bread only) is appropriate.
Those not desiring to receive Communion, or those who have yet to be baptized,  can indicate that to the priest with arms crossed over the chest and the priest will give a blessing.

MIDWEEK STUDY CONTINUES

Plan to spend Wednesday evenings in an online discussion on the Scriptures of the Week.  All are welcomed for this one hour, online time of teaching, sharing, and discussion.

A BIT ABOUT US
As a parish, we are connected locally with a group of churches in a diocese, the Anglican Diocese of New England.  Our diocese is connected with other dioceses in a province. Our province, the Anglican Church in North America, is connected with other Anglicans all over the globe. As an Anglican Church our theological beliefs and commitments are in line with our diocese and province.
We embrace and are held accountable to the theological statement of the Anglican Church in North America.
For more information on who we are, how we worship, and our spirituality, visit the "About Us" page here.

TITHES AND OFFERINGS UPDATE
The cold temperatures have played havoc with our billing and assorted expenses. We strongly encourage all members to commit or re-commit to their giving disciplines. There are three ways to do this:

  • Online. This is the preferred venue for receiving monies. We don't have a formal time in the service where offerings are collected, thus it's easy to forget all about it. If you are not giving online, please do so. HERE.

  • Service Giving. As you enter the sanctuary there re offering plates. Offerings can be deposited here. These monies are blessed officially by a priest at the Offertory.

  • Direct Mailings. Lastly, tithes and offerings can be mailed (check preferably) right to the church.

A recent letter to the church on current financial status is HERE.

ADULT DISCUSSION CLASS  |  LIVE NO LIES
Beginning March 9 and continuing through April 6, John Comer's Live No Lies streaming discussion will take place Sundays in the Upper Room from 8:45 AM to 9:45 AM.
The study dives into John's words, "Do not love the world or anything in the world. If anyone loves the world, love for the Father is not in them. For everything in the world—the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life—comes not from the Father but from the world. The world and its desires pass away, but whoever does the will of God lives forever. (1 John 2:15-17)
